Are you stuck on how to celebrate Valentine's Day with your significant other? You are definitely not alone! Whether you have been together for two months or two decades, it is no secret that coming up with great ways to celebrate Valentine's Day can be tricky, especially in a pandemic.
While this year’s celebration may look a bit different, there are still plenty of ways to safely celebrate Valentine's Day and make the day a special one.
1. Watch a Romantic Movie
Make some buttery popcorn, light candles to set the mood, open a bottle of wine, and cuddle up under a blanket while watching a romantic movie. A simple way to celebrate the day, but always perfect nonetheless!
2. Go on a Bike Ride
Have a mini adventure in your own neighborhood or city! Hop on a pair of bikes and explore and discover what’s around you on two wheels. Going on a bike date is freeing, with very few restrictions and so many possibilities. All you have to do is to seize the moment and enjoy the day!
3. Make Breakfast in Bed
Make breakfast for your partner featuring as many heart-shaped treats as possible. Heart-shaped cookie cutters certainly come in handy but they’re not a necessity! The list of foods you can prepare is endless. Be creative!
4. Stream a Virtual Concert
Take your date night to the next level by streaming a virtual concert. No crowds, no hassling with parking, no asking the person in front of you to sit down. Bring the concert home to you!
5. Create a Spa at Home
Plan an all-day relaxation treat for your partner. Buy essential oils and bath bombs, light candles, give each other massages, wear robes and slippers, read books - just relax!
6. Have a Cook-Off
The couple that cooks together stays together, but why not bring a little competition into the home kitchen? It will definitely be a fun and exciting way to enjoy a Valentine’s Day meal together.
7. Play Board Games
Playing board games never gets old! Grab lots of snacks, pop open a bottle of wine, and bring your competitive edge! Each of you can pick your favorite game and you can take turns playing both.
8. Go Camping in Your Backyard
Turn your backyard into a campsite! Hang string lights, build a fire in a fire pit if you have one, grab some sleeping bags or a thick blanket, pour yourselves mugs of hot chocolate, and of course, don’t forget the s’mores!
